The wine has a ruby red color, with fresh raspberry and blackcurrant aromas with hints of pepper and light vanilla, and a clear chocolate flavor on the palate, with a relatively light and stress-free body, some acidity, and a black pepper aftertaste.

The GWA 100-point scoring system looks at appearance, colour, fragrance, acidity, sweetness, body, flavour, tannins and overall balance. Wines scoring 95–100 earn Gold.
